This is a tennis racket designed and produced by Artis Company in 1949, in Czechoslovakia. Artis was one the leading brand in sport accessories, producing mainly hockey sticks, skis and tennis rackets. This model of a tennis rocket named Elastic was actually their first ever made design and is very desirable among the collectors.

The racket is a lovely reminder of the elegance of the tennis sport at the time. The whole racket is made of wood with the string made of clear nylon. The handle is then covered by a leather strap. On one side, there is Artis logo and a signature. On the other side is written Elastic and also we can see a multicoloured sticker circling the main head. Every piece made in Artis had their personal number, this one being no. 371400.

This piece can be used as a decoration or it can be still use for playing a game of old school tennis.

The racket is in good vintage condition. There is no damage, just some wear and tear gained from using over the years. This particular piece has some lovely patina which makes this racket truly original and one off piece.
