1960's Extendable side table
1960's Extendable side table
This is an original extendable side/coffee table consists of a solid wood table top which has a beautiful walnut veneer and legs made of dark brown stained Beechwood. It operates as an extendable table, with a full length of 132 cm. The main design features are the dark brown tapering slender table legs that nicely contrast with two pieces tabletops with subtle curves and striking walnut patterns. The two individual tabletops are connected by hinges and as they are resting on each other, the table can very easily be extended by simply turning one tabletop onto the other side.
It's a table which would work best in a smaller size room. It has been designed as a coffee or side table as the height of the table is a few cm shorter than most of the dining tables, but despite that, It can still be used for a daily dining..
The table was produced in the 1960s, and it still holds great design appeal. The designer of this table is unknown but it was produced by Novy Domov in former Czechoslovakia.
This piece is in great vintage condition showing only minimal natural wear and tear on the tabletops. Some parts of the veneer, mainly on the sides, were restored.
