Pair of 1970's Vintage bedside table lamps by Drevo Humpolec
A pair of bedside table lamps design that were produced in the early 1970’s by Drevo Humpolec Company, in former Czechoslovakia.
The design of these lamps are reminiscent of a small humble torch. The yellow colour lampshade looks like a flame being held in the middle of a wooden structure. The wooden structure consists of the ‘V’ shaped part that interact together but also carries the metal part with the bulb and the lampshade in the middle.
The whole piece is supported four small oval and slightly tapering legs. The beech wood has a bright honeycomb colour and the lampshades are a yellowy gold colour with vertical lines etched in the glass.
Both lamps are in great original condition. All parts (including the switch, the bulb fitting, cord and the European plug) are original and fully functional. The on/ff switch is located on a cable separate from the lamp. One switch is in black and the other one is white colour.
