1970's Ceiling Light by Jaroslav Bejvl Sr. for Kamenicky Senov
1970's Ceiling Light by Jaroslav Bejvl Sr. for Kamenicky Senov
This light is a bold statement piece from the 1970’s. It is believed to be designed by one of the best Czech glass designers Jaroslav Bejvl Sr. (1941 - 2016).
The chandelier was produced at the Kamenicky Senov Factory in former Czechoslovakia - a glasswork with a great and long tradition in producing top quality glass dating back to the Austro - Hungarian Empire.
A very high level of craftsmanship was required to design and produce this piece. The light is made of 21 thick cut glass square plates each with geometrical ornaments, held together by small metal discs between them. This ceiling light has a very expressive boho form with impressive details.
The light consists of four bulbs which are protected by the glass shade. Bulbs are part of a metal plate which is fixed to the ceiling and holds the whole piece.
This piece is in excellent original condition. It still has some of the original cardboard and bulbs and therefore it is believed that this light has never been used before. All parts are original and fully functional.
