This is an original piece produced in the 1970’s.
This bold statement lamp was designed by Miroslav Cermak and produced at the Kamenicky Senov Factory in former Czechoslovakia - a country with a great and long tradition in producing top quality glasswork. Kamenicky Senov played a particularly important part in the history of Czech glassware. It’s factory was renowned for the high quality products dating back to Austro - Hungarian Empire. Cermak designed this lamp with a slightly different versions of the glass design. There was also a floor lamp version, very similar to this piece.
A very high level of craftsmanship was required to make this thick blown glasses with protruding spikes. The four glass shades are each horizontally screwed into a steel base with one glass being fixed vertically in the middle. In the centre, they are all connected to a steel rod, that holds the whole piece into the ceiling.
This piece is in great vintage condition, with only some minimal natural wear gained over the years on the steel surface. All parts are original and fully functional.
