Pair of 1970's Brutalist Table Lamps nicknamed "the Crystals" by Kamenicky Senov Manufacturer
This pair of table lights is a bold statement from the 1970’s.
It its believed to be designed by the incredible Czech glass designer Josef Hejtman. The lamps were produced and made at the Kamenicky Senov Factory in former Czechoslovakia, a manufacturer with a great and long tradition in producing top quality glasswork.
A very high level of craftsmanship was required to make this thick blown glass and spiky shape, later nicknamed “the crystals”. This glass is screwed into a steel base with a brass surface.
These lamps can used as a bedside table lights or as a desk lamps. The on/off switch is located on a cable separate from the lamps.
Both pieces are in vintage condition, with some wear and patina on the brass stands gained over the years. We decided to keep the patina as it adds an unique charm, character and originality to the whole set. There is a small chip on each of the glass shades. The cables were replaces by a new identical ones. Both lamps are fully functional.
